Training
A hands-on training for people who will work as Linux system administrators. Participants install a Debian server from scratch, configure its services, manage storage and user access, monitor the system and learn to intervene when problems occur. By the end of the training they can bring up core internet services such as web, DNS, database and email on their own.
Prerequisite: having completed the PL-101 Basic Linux training, or having basic Linux knowledge and experience.
IT staff who have recently taken on, or will take on, responsibility for Linux servers.
Support and operations teams who occasionally need to work on servers.
Those who want to run their application on their own server and understand the server side.
Those who have completed the basic Linux training and want to take the next step.
Each participant installs their own Debian server and works on the same server throughout the training. By the last module, they have configured the services running on it themselves.
You don't watch a ready-made environment; you install the server from scratch and work on it throughout the training.
Besides installation, you also learn where to look and how to proceed when something breaks.
At most 6 people. The configuration you are stuck on is looked at together; you don't wait in line.
Those who complete the training receive a "Linux System Administration (PL-201)" certificate of attendance.
